Chris Jones was brought up in West Wales and after leaving University started his career as a tea boy and runner, whilst being trained as a cameraman for an independent television and corporate company.
He says “I am very lucky to have worked with so many wonderful people from all walks of life and, as a cameraman and director, and have travelled the world extensively. In 1991, whilst filming the UK bobsleigh team around the world circuit, I started to work on the other side of the camera and I have been presenting, in both English and Welsh, for nearly 30 years, on television, radio, in corporate and public sector events (including work for the Welsh Government). A more recent development to the work has been hosting, presenting and facilitating online events. Life has changed very quickly for all of us and I am pleased to say that I have been successful in adapting my services towards the ever more popular digital and virtual world … and I’m 100% bilingual, which is always useful!
Go to the ‘What I Offer’ tab, check out the testimonials and take a look at what I can bring to your event, conference, workshops, evening, social event and awards ceremony.
I have many strings to my bow, one of them being a designer of weather related merchandise which has become very popular over the last few years and which are sold world wide. Visit the merchandise page to see what’s on offer and to order unique gifts, designed by me and made in Wales".
Wales Week Berkshire Organiser Nellie Williams says "we are delighted Chris will be joining us for the St David's Day Brunch and look forward to seeing lots of delicious brunches and celebrating St David's Day 2021 style!".
Prostate Cymru is the leading prostate health charity in Wales supporting men with benign prostate disease and prostate cancer.
The charity has no national or government funding and relies on the kindness and generosity of its fundraisers and volunteers to fulfil its core aims:
1. Raising awareness about prostate cancer and prostate diseases, educating men in Wales about the diseases and their risk. Prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in Wales and the risk increases to 1 in 3 if there is a family history of the disease. Our awareness team provide free of charge workplace awareness sessions and talks to other groups.
2. Supporting treatments and improving equipment for prostate diseases. To date we have supported GreenLight Laser treatment for benign prostate disease and funded the training of surgeons using the Da Vinci robot for minimally invasive prostate cancer surgery.
3. Funding research and innovation across Wales to ensure that men in Wales suffering with prostate diseases will have access to the best available treatments from the NHS in Wales.
4. Supporting the education of medical professionals and students through online learning resources and travelling fellowships.
